Why-Sundry?
Sun-drying briquettes after they've been produced and molded to their shapes is an essential stage within the production process. Many producers prefer to skip over this step to cut on production cost, time and efforts.

A briquette needs a minimum of a full day of sundry before it goes into the oven. This duration can go up to 2 or 3 days depending on the shape and size of the briquette and the weather conditions in tropical Indonesia.

The benefits of this stage, however, is that when a briquette is properly sun-dried, it does not break or crack when exposed to high levels of heat due to the freed humidity from the core of the briquette. Moreover, sun-drying briquettes is environmentally friendly as would enable lessening the time a briquette requires in the oven, which is the next step of sun-dry, and which we'll discuss in another post.
